My Journey Into Becoming a Diabetes & Metabolic Health Coach Started Back in 2020âŚ.
As a nurse, I had spent years witnessing the devastating effects of diabetes and insulin resistance in the hospitalâpatients who had lost limbs, their vision, and their independence, all while being told to âeat better and lose weightâ with no real guidance.

But One Day, Something Heartbreaking HappenedâŚ.
Three years into my nursing career, I faced the devastating loss of my dad to a heart attackâanother life cut short by years of uncontrolled diabetes and a system that relied on medication instead of true prevention. Losing both my parents before I even turned 30âmy mom to cancer and my dad to diabetes complicationsâwas overwhelming.
As an Emergency Department nurse, I saw the same heartbreaking patterns every day. Patients coming in with diabetic complicationsâheart attacks, kidney failure, amputationsâwho had only ever been told to âeat betterâ or were simply placed on medication with no real guidance. It was a revolving door of preventable illness, and I felt powerless watching people suffer when I knew it didnât have to be this way.
I needed a different approachâone that empowered people to take control of their blood sugar and metabolic health before it was too late. Thatâs when I discovered holistic, root-cause health coaching and signed up for the first available training, determined to help people avoid the fate I had seen and experienced too many times before.
